I started awhile ago on creating a robotic arm with a guide that was given to our course which is for beginners to 3D Studio Max. I started a few weeks ago on the robotic arm and I am getting to grips with the hotkeys and getting used to keeping up with the tutorial narrator and finding it easier now to create models in 3D Studio Max.
As you can probably tell from the screenshot I am not finished but i am almost there Ill put a post of the final product and talk about some of the modelling methods I used to create it then
